HEBREWS:
BETTER THINGS
"The basic theme of Hebrews is found in the word better, describing the superiority of Christ in His person & work (1:4; 6:9; 7:7, 19, 22; 8:6; 9:23; 10:34; 11:16, 35, 40; 12:24). The words perfect & heavenly are also prominent. Christ offers a better revelation, position, priesthood, covenant, sacrifice, & power." --Hayford & Snider (1994).
"Hebrews speaks to the challenge of perseverance in the Christian life over against 'falling away' from God. In a day in which thousands every year abandon the church, either in overt rejection or quiet separation, the church needs to address the problem and what to do about it." --Prof. George H. Guthrie (2002)

About this webinar
These days we hear much talk about “Worldview” and “Biblical Worldview.” There are good reasons for this. However, as we speak about Worldview, I would rather use the expression, Biblical perspective on life, or better, Biblical way of life.
The Early Church as the Church today faced challenges with false teachings that tried to change the believer’s Biblical perspective on life. The whole Bible is the foundation for us to live life. As we study the book of Colossians, we will see how the agnostics tried to bring confusion to the Church and affect their perspective on life in the kingdom of God.
They attacked the person of Jesus saying His sacrifice on the cross was not enough to save mankind. They added legalistic traditions, observations of days, and other requirements to complete the work of salvation. They denied Jesus was the Son of God and the son of man (human). They denied Jesus was with the Father in the creation and attacked other aspects of the life of Christ.
Paul writes to the Church correcting these errors and instructing them in the truth of the Supremacy, the Sonship, The Divinity, and Humanity of Jesus.
